The Role

We are seeking a Product Manager. Ideally possessing a passion for excellence and over 3 years’ experience of product development in a supervisory capacity, the successful candidate will join an inspirational workplace where employees are valued and recognised. Taking responsibility for the ownership and development of existing products, and opening up fresh distribution opportunities, the successful candidate will play an integral role in a company that prides itself on consistently delivering excellence through its trademark innovative solutions for the sustainability issues facing our future.

The key
responsibilities of the Product Manager include, but are not limited to:
Gaining familiarity with the various product line’s components and its potential impact on the market, and determining customer desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information. Recommending the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes. Bringing new products to market by analysing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing departments.


Location
Macclesfield, SK10 (Variable based on client requirement. The role may involve international travel approximately 10-20% of the time)

The Person
The successful candidate must have over 3 years’ product development experience in a supervisory capacity, with demonstrable knowledge of the life sciences market and industry. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Marketing is required (MBA preferred). The role requires the candidate to gain a good understanding of GMP cleanrooms, HVAC system design and operation for pharmaceutical and laboratory HVAC systems. The ideal will be financially astute, with a strong understanding of revenue and profit models. The role requires a candidate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills: to motivate the team, to present complex ideas in a compelling way to a technical and non-technical audience, and to network. In the first year, the successful candidate must be committed to domestic and global travel approximately 10% of the time, given the need to establish products in the market.
