The EECO2 team is expanding faster than ever, with many new team members this year. We pride ourselves on having a diverse and experienced team, whilst investing in the future with our first university industrial placement student. Meet our new EECO2 team members:
Amaad Ahmed – Senior Energy Manager
Amaad joined EECO2 in June 2020, coming from his own consultancy company. Amaad is our new senior energy manager, with over 6 years of experience in the sector. Learning more about the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector and helping evolve the industry was one of the key reasons Amaad wanted to join EECO2. Amaad is married with two children, and is a keen sports fan, following cricket and Arsenal FC.
Craig Bullock – Project Manager
Craig’s career has given him copious experience in various companies across the UK and further afield. With 40 years of experience in project management in the building services sector, within the food and beverage, hospital and operating theatre, and pharmaceutical manufacturing industries. Craig was the perfect candidate to manage one of our major projects – a large cleanroom build for a reputable pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in Cambridge.
Nick Kibler – Senior HVAC Engineer
Nick has worked in the building services industry for 35 years and has experience in a broad range of projects and industries, including nuclear, commercial, schools, hospitals, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Nick is a big football fan – supporting one of the big Manchester clubs… we will let you guess which!
Tom Nutley – Global Key Account Manager
Tom joins ECCO2 in October. With over five years of experience providing AI sustainability solutions to the global mobility sector, the opportunity to provide solutions to achieve carbon neutrality within the pharmaceutical and biomedical industries was one that Tom could not turn down. Tom is a former professional rugby player, avid fitness enthusiast, adventurer and gamer who enjoys spending his free time in the great outdoors with his wife Danielle and dog, Dexter.
Alberto Diaz – Project Engineer
Alberto started working for EECO2 remotely from Spain during lockdown, getting to know the team via video calls. He decided to join EECO2 to follow his chosen career path as an international engineer, working in the pharmaceutical and energy sector. In his new role as a project manager, Alberto is involved in organising the live projects, ensuring they stay on schedule. Alberto is a qualified mechanical engineer, with a master’s degree in project management from Coventry University and is accredited as a consultant through CMI. He has also worked in a nanotechnology laboratory, which resulted in a publication in the Spanish Society of Materials. Alberto has a joyful personality which helps keep spirits high in the office.
Liam Featherston – Industrial Placement Student
Currently studying at Newcastle University, Liam has decided to take a year out for an industrial placement. He will gain experience in different departments of EECO2, and learn how they interact and connect with each other.
“I wanted to get a placement at EECO2 as it will allow me to fully immerse myself in each department. In my first two months, I have enjoyed developing relationships with the team and contributing to current projects. One of my favourite things about EECO2 is being able to gain experience in real world situations, while knowing I am part of a company that is contributing to save our environment”.
Oliver Meads – Revit Design Technician
Oliver recently joined EECO2 as a design technician and is currently studying a master’s degree in architecture at Manchester University. He has a creative eye and will be using that skill to design our new meeting room in the Head Office. One of the main reasons Oliver joined us is to get different perspectives of architecture, and to learn new design program’s such as Revit. As well as designing a new office, Oliver will be developing his skills in architectural visualisation, schematics and the program autoCAD.
EECO2 is pleased to support our staff with clear career development and progression opportunities, in addition to competitive salaries and benefits packages. We are an equal opportunities employer, so if you are an engineer with a proven track record in delivering efficiency solutions in the pharmaceutical sector or similar, or a recent graduate with a degree level qualification in a relevant subject, and would like to be considered to become part of the EECO2 team, please take a look at our current vacancies.
