NEW CASE STUDY – ENERGY ASSESSMENT AT PHARMACEUTICAL MANUFACTURING SITE IN JAPAN
Posted on by Emma Goodwin[addtoany]
This week EECO2 presents the latest case study, featuring a full energy assessment at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Japan. This site belongs to one of EECO2’s main clients who asked the team to provide principle consultancy expertise to support a full site energy assessment.
The client has a real opportunity to deliver significant energy and cost savings for this site over the next 5 years. Especially involving HVAC, as this is their largest saving opportunity. Any changes to the HVAC system must be done in a way that ensures no quality impact and so it is important to involve HVAC experts like EECO2.
From the energy assessment, there were 34 projects produced, with 14 of them producing 80% of the savings. They included:
Optimise Chiller Control and Setpoint of Chilled Water Temperature
Dehum Reactivation Heat Recovery
Improve Condensate Recovery
See case study for more comprehensive list of projects and further information.
The total savings identified
Energy savings identified per year: 4,130 MWh. Which is a 30% reduction of site totals
Energy cost savings identified (per year): 38 Million Yen. Which is a 31% reduction of site totals
EECO2's Andrew Butterworth will be presenting the poster entitled ‘Energy Efficiency in Cleanrooms’ at this year's CIBSE Technical Symposium; 25-26th April at University of Sheffield. Are you attending??
