This year EECO2’s Andrew Butterworth will be presenting on the poster entitled ‘Energy Efficiency in Cleanrooms’.
The poster explores the history of cleanrooms and goes on to explain the most recent technical advancements in the monitoring and controlling areas of cleanroom management. During Andrew’s presentation, he will introduce the Intelligent Cleanroom Control System (ICCS), which applies intelligent thinking for the modern cleanroom.
He will explain the advantages of monitoring and dynamically controlling a cleanroom, including reduction in energy consumption, energy cost savings and maintenance cost savings. He will explore the results observed at the EECO2 cleanroom test facility, which includes an approximate energy reduction of 60% compared with a static system (without using the ICCS).
He will also discuss the benefits in relation to cleanroom classification with continuous particle monitoring.
The CIBSE Technical Symposium is entitled ‘Transforming Built Environments – driving change with engineering’. The event aims to reshape regulation, understanding, practice and application to enhance the lifelong benefit of engineered environments.
When: Thursday 25 – Friday 26 April 2019
Where: University of Sheffield
Andrew’s presentation (reference 178) entitled ‘Energy Efficiency in Cleanrooms’ is scheduled for session 21 on Friday April 26th.
