Associate Director, Engineering & Technical Services

THE ROLE

Your primary focus in this role will be to manage and nuture a Technical Team of Engineers, ensure that all solutions and design are meticulously controlled and consistently delivered at a exceptional standard across our growing business. You will be responsible for Manging the production of Energy biased engineering solutions, guiding others to ensure that design deliverables meet the brief’s expectations and maintain a high level of quality. There will still be an aspect of Engineering delivery within the role when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading your Teams from the front to deliver core objectives and demonstrate and promote initiative.
  • Develop and Maintain Team KPI’s.
  • Support Business Risk Management through Identification and mitigation activities.
  • Support the Businesses’ ISO 9001 Status to ensure consistent quality delivery.
  • Maintain Teams skills on the company skills Matrix to assist in project resource planning and recruitment.
  • Managing Team Objectives and Team KPIs to achieve bonuses and rewards.
  • Work closely and professionally with other Associate and Executive Directors closely and professionally to ensure the company operates effectively.
  • Deliver regular reporting to Executive Directors.
  • Take HR responsibility for direct team and maintain regular team building events to maintain morale and support staff retention.
  • Accept 360 Degree Personal reviews and findings positively and proactively.

THE PERSON

  • Bachelor / Masters Engineering Degree
  • MCIBSE / FCIBSE or Equivalent
  • Significant industry experience demonstrating a broad understanding of industrial utility
    systems and energy management.
  • Experience in developing and presenting engineering and energy reduction recommendations and
    supporting business cases.
  • Evidence of recent/relevant CPD.
  • Maintain a Membership of a suitable Institute and carry out appropriate training to become a
    high-quality Manager.
