The 2012 Energy Efficiency Directive establishes a set of binding measures to help the EU reach its 20% energy efficiency target by 2020.
Under Article 8 of this directive, each EU Member State must meet certain energy savings targets between 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2020.
In the UK, the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) has been established to ensure that businesses which meet the qualifying criteria are doing their bit to contribute to the overall energy efficiency target.
Although ESOS is a UK directive, there are similar requirements for all EU Member States.
As a specialist provider of energy efficiency solutions to the pharmaceutical sector and an accredited ESOS lead assessor, EECO2 can guide you through the EED compliance process from audit to remedial actions.
Phase 2 of Article 8 compliance is now underway. Starting the process now means more time for remedial actions and not having to worry about assessor availability as the deadline approaches (5 December 2019).
We understand that multiple sites across multiple countries can be a regulatory headache, but our expertise in international energy management means that we can manage this process for you smoothly and efficiently.
