Alfred Leung Memorial Award Winner

Posted on

At EECO2, our ethos is one of continuous improvement both within our team and for our clients. One of the newer members of our team, Tanju Beyoglu, demonstrates this ethos through his recent achievement – the Alfred Leung Memorial Award.

News Spotlight

The inaugural Alfred Leung Memorial Award has been presented to Tanju in recognition of his contribution to promoting the building services engineering community, with outstanding efforts attesting to bridging the gap between industry and academia.

Tanju recently completed his MSc Building Services Engineering, graduating with distinction from Leeds Beckett University. At the end of 2020, he joined the EECO2 team as an Intermediate HVAC Engineer.

Alfred Leung Memorial Award

The award was inaugurated by CIBSE in honour of the late Dr Alfred Leung – the former regional chair who dedicated himself to ‘facilitating high achievement of students both past and present’. [1]

Tanju says “What made the award much more meaningful, [even] more than the hard work and effort spent during the studies, was the purpose of the prize: to commemorate such an inspirational individual who devoted his life to education and our community.”

Well done, Tanju!
